Cherry pie

Zutaten

   Pastry (made with 6 oz = 175 flour etc.)
2Essl. Water
675Gramm = 700 Gramm cherries
3  Level tablespoons brown sugar
1  Little milk and sugar
 

Zubereitung

Use a 1 1/2 pint =845 ml pie dish. Heat the oven to 220 C. Put the cherries in the pie dish and sprinkle the brown sugar over them. Roll out the pastry until it is 1 inch larger all round than the pie dish. Cut out a 1 inch strip, put a little water on it, and put it on the rim of the dish. Put the rest of the pastry on top toform a lid. Make a small cut in the centre to let the steam out. Brush the pastry with milk and sprinkle with a little sougar. Bake for ten minutes at 220 C and then for another 30 minutes at 190 C. Serve hot with cream.
